Jerzy Tyburski was born in 1964 in Lubaczów. He went to the Secondary Art School in Zamość and then studied in the Faculty of Art History in the Catholic University of Lublin. He graduated in 1989. In the years from 1986 to 1989 he attended Prof. Marian Stelmasik's and Prof. Jacek Wojciechowski's classes of painting in the Maria Curie Skłodowska University of Lublin. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and he has twice been awarded a grant from the Ministry of Culture and Art. He practices painting and drawing.
